爆炸前，众多居民提着桶到漏油点，想顺点汽油带走；但不料却葬身火海。

根据现场公布的事故细节，在伊达尔戈州的这次燃油泄漏点，18日下午5点之前就已经出现大量泄漏，墨西哥军警也到达现场维持秩序。但生活在周边地区的大量民众都携带着各种瓶罐容器，哄抢泄漏的燃油，就在爆炸发生前的几分钟，爆炸地点附近已经聚集了大约600到800名民众。许多民众没有听从军警的警告，不愿远离燃油泄漏点地区，随后在当晚7点多，爆炸事故发生。▲文字来自央视财经

Only a handful of the remains still had skin. 这与墨西哥政府严厉打击“偷油”行为而引起的“油荒”有关。

据报道，墨西哥总统洛佩斯（Andrés Manuel Lopez Obrador）自去年12月上任后就开始出动军队打击燃油偷盗现象。
