不定代词every与each 的用法(二) everyone是不定代词,后面定语从句用什么

1.every,each 都可以作不定形容词。

①each 侧重单体，用于二者或二者以上；

②every 侧重全体，用于三者或三者以上。

There are trees on each bank of the river. (不能用 every)

河的两岸都是树木。

On each (=every) side of the square there were policemen.

广场的四周都有警察。

Every student is here. (=All the students are here.)

所有的学生都到了。 (强调整体）

Each student has an ear-phone.

每个学生都有一个耳机。 (强调个体，每一个学生）

2. every只能作形容词，后面必须跟有名词，不可以作代词单独使用；

each除了作形容词外，可以作代词，在句中充当主语，宾语，同位语。

Two boys came and I gave a pen to each. (作宾语）

两个孩子来了，我给他们一人一支笔。

They each got a pen. (作同位语）

他们每人得到一支笔。

3.Each of+名词复数/代词复数作主语时，谓语用单数。

Each of them gets a gift. (作主语）

他们每个人都得到一份礼物。
